What is it about?
Taking medication can get complicated as a result of many different instructions and formulations. There was no tool to help health professionals simplify medication regimens. We developed and tested such a tool. Testing showed it can help identify opportunities for simplification without changing the goal of the regimen.

Why is it important?
When people move into aged care, their complex medication regimens become not only a burden for themselves - they also become a burden for aged care staff giving the medications. Quality of life, time, and opportunity for leisure or clinical care activities may be compromised. Giving health professionals a tool will empower them to simplify medication regimens.
