Why is it important?
Bangladesh is a rapidly developing nation growing with a target of a middle-income country by the end of the year 2021. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to include women in the economic activities who are 49.56% of the total population of the country. Rapid development requires the involvement of women in every sector considering the male to female ratio of the population is almost equal. It is observed that there is a significant rise in the rate of business formation by the Bangladeshi women in recent years which was in man’s domain in past. As women are much more likely to devote their earnings to their families and the communities, they are contributing more to the economic welfare of the country. But the success of these women entrepreneurs depends on a number of factors which are often beyond their control. Therefore, this study aims at identifying the factors affecting the success of female entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
