What is it about?

UK squatters are a marginalised community who find themselves forgotten after the COVID-19 crisis has receded. UK squatters are an excluded minority who need to be given the means to help themselves. The Brexit process in the UK has hit squatters particularly hard, as they are fewer opportunities to be supported by European social movements

Why is it important?

UK squatters membership has widened in the post-COVID-19, post-Brexit period. There is increased realisation a growing proportion of the UK population is being left behind y mainstream political processes.

Perspectives

The manner in which UK squatters have been made invisible is a worrying sign of social polarisation going unchecked, becoming the default position in the UK population's psyche.
