What is it about?

Employees who perform the whistleblowing action may encounter many negative situations in organizations. For this reason, employees remain indecisive in turning whistleblowing intention into behavior. It is very important for employees to know that they work in a fair organization for whistleblowing tendencies. Therefore, it seems likely that a positive perception of organizational justice will have a positive effect on the heroism of revealing unethical practices in the organization. The purpose of this study is to examine the whistleblowing behaviors and the effect of organizational justice perception of 112 emergency workers regarding the disclosure of illegal or other unethical events that threaten patient care and patient safety.

Perspectives

If employees encounter illegal practices, they will not hesitate to report these unethical practices to the authorities in the organization if their perception of organizational justice is high. The disclosure of unethical practices by employees in organizations is important in terms of providing significant improvements in the success and competitiveness of the organization. As a result of this research, it will make significant contributions to the encouragement of whistleblowing behavior by employees in organizations where fair practices are perceived by employees.
