What is it about?

The editorial highlights some of the major events of Peer Review Week, giving some details and data of events, and the effects in the community. The paper is particularly focussed on the contributions of EASE, in the form of Council members on the organising committee, and curation of the YouTube channel. We give some examples from a few videos, and point to other resources developed for the Week, that are permanently available.

Why is it important?

The Editorial is intended to highlight the value that PRW is intended to bring to the world of research publishing. The paper highlights the permanently available resources for anyone interested in learning more about positive qualities of review, what organisations are doing to enhance the integrity of it across the publishing industry, the effects and impact of peer review on different communities.

Perspectives

It is great to see some of the achievements of PRW put into an article like this. Hopefully it will draw more attention to the resources on the PRW website, and to all the videos on the channel. Setting up the channel, curating and editing all those videos was a pretty intense task. I hope it will continue to grow and be added to with more cool content in next years' event.
