Why is it important?
Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs) care for some of the most unwell patients in the acute mental health pathway, and in that sense are very much on the mental health services frontline. This paper shares the experience of a multi-professional PICU team and considers some of the lessons learnt in the evolving pandemic.
