What is it about?
This article examines the impact of integrating interactivetechnology in character education programs on ethical characterdevelopment in Islamic colleges from the lecturers' perspective.The study addresses two research questions: (1) How does theintegration of interactive technology influence ethical characterdevelopment, according to lecturers in Islamic colleges? (2) Whatchallenges do lecturers face in effectively utilizing interactivetechnology for nurturing ethical character education?. Data wascollected through a survey of 50 lecturers from Islamic colleges inMadura, using a combination of closed-ended and open-endedquestions. The findings reveal that integrating interactivetechnology positively affects ethical character development byenhancing student engagement, critical thinking, and moralreasoning. This research contributes to addressing a research gapby providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of interactivetechnology in nurturing ethical character development in thecontext of Islamic colleges. Additionally, the study identifieschallenges lecturers face in embracing the digital age, includinglimited technical skills, inadequate resources, and resistance tochange. Addressing these challenges is crucial for maximizing thepotential of interactive technology in character educationprograms. Overall, this research offers practical insights foreducational institutions and policymakers, informing the designof strategies for incorporating interactive technology intocharacter education programs while mitigating associatedchallenges. By focusing specifically on Islamic colleges, this studyprovides unique perspectives on integrating interactivetechnology in nurturing ethical character development, addingnovelty to the existing literature
