What is it about?

The clinical learning environment (CLE) is an important part of nursing education. To better understand nursing students' perception of the CLE, a valid scale is needed. This paper describes the psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the Clinical Learning Environment, Supervision, and Nurse Teacher (CLES + T) scale. The Indonesian version is a reliable tool of this scale that has been translated into multiple languages worldwide .

Why is it important?

By better understanding nursing students' perception of the clinical learning environment, nurse educators in the academic and practice setting can better facilitate their learning.

Perspectives

I hope this article encourages other nurse educators globally to also describe nursing students' perception of the clinical learning environment. It is important that we all work together in the academic and practice setting to improve the clinical learning environment to better prepare nursing graduates for nursing practice. I enjoyed working with my co-authors on this research and article. It was a great experience to collaborate with others from different countries and from both the academic and practice setting in nursing.
