What is it about?
Following the natural history of pediatric Leukemia in a group of more than 100 patients from two hospitals in Mexico city we detected that a hematopoietic specific myosin is highly expressed in the cells of patients with high risk leukemia and that expression is clearly different from the expression in healty children and patients with lower risk disease

Why is it important?
Despite all the advances in the treatment of patients with Leukemia still 10-15% of those patients don't respond well or they have a relapse, therefore ways to identify specific markers in those patients could improve their chance of survival
