What is it about?

Often, experts are asked for listing the factors that accelerate or endanger the competitiveness of their countries. This article takes such an experts' survey as the point of departure to answer the question of how countries on the same level of competitiveness have similar structures that govern their dynamics of innovation and competitiveness - from the point of view of experts. For this purpose, data mining techniques are used.

Why is it important?

In such big data sets, we do not see the associations between different questions regarding the competitiveness and innovativeness of individual economies/countries. With the help of data mining techniques, it is possible to see how different topics covering these fields are associated in a reduced-dimensional space, enabling better interpretations.
