What is it about?
Disaster literacy is a disaster mitigation effort so that students have knowledge about disasters so that they have an awareness of the potential for disasters and can prepare themselves to deal with disasters. Because disasters cannot be stopped, disaster literacy is expected to minimize risks by training disaster mitigation skills. ESS (Environmental Science Studies) lectures are one of the courses that can integrate mitigation and adaptation from natural phenomena in educating disaster literacy to the community in the future. The post-COVID-19 pandemic has had many impacts on the world of education, especially in preparing creative teachers by preparing various forms of learning media, both online, offline, and a combination of both (blended learning or hybrid learning).

Why is it important?
The study focuses on disaster literacy, which is crucial for enhancing understanding and preparedness for disasters. By integrating disaster literacy into ESS lectures, the research addresses a critical aspect of education in the context of natural disasters. Innovative Approach: The study utilizes a research and development methodology, following the steps of Borg & Gall, to develop and implement disaster literacy education in ESS lectures. This approach allows for the creation of tailored educational interventions to improve disaster literacy among students .
