Optical Properties of Nanostructure in CdS at Different Condition Bath Deposition

Why is it important?
In this work, CdS films were prepared by using chemical bath deposition. Many growth parameters have been considered in this work to specify the optimum condition, namely temperature of solution, pH, thiourea ion concentration and deposition time. Optical properties of CdS films are investigated and analyzed extensively with respect to growth conditions. Nanocrystalline CdS have been deposited, the band gap changes from 2.58 eV to 2.8 eV as compared to the bulk CdS band gap of 2.42 eV, as a result of quantum confinement.
