What is it about?
Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death and morbidity among women. Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy remain an interdisciplinary problem studied for many years, but, unfortunately, remains unresolved. The consequences caused by preeclampsia and other forms of arterial hypertension in pregnant women are serious for both the mother and fetus. The direct association of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and preeclampsia with the subsequent development of cardiovascular diseases, or these conditions have common pathophysiological mechanisms and risk factors, remains the subject of discussion.
