What is it about?

To treat hypertension, subject has been advised to take low sodium diet. Our study has shown that low-salt diet may decrease plasma K concentrations after meal in those people who have also taken AT1R antagonist to treat the hypertension. Thus, take a potassium supplemental diet with low-salt may be a better approach to maintain K homeostasis than low-salt diet alone.
