Why is it important?

This study describes not only the clinical aspects of the disease, but also the relationships between parasite and vector, reservoirs and hosts, from the perspective of managing environmental health surveillance, offering data explored in a different way from other publications, which sharpens our urgency to seek solutions to reduce damage to the health of the population exposed to the etiologic agents of Spotted Fever in southeastern Brazil.

Perspectives

The study goes beyond the objective description of the data displayed in the datasets of the health information system to give depth to the analyzes related to local health management, as well as expanding the understanding of the need for a preventive attitude on the part of managers and a timely diagnosis for harm reduction and life maintenance of hospitalized patients
