Why is it important?

The research is important because land registration is an important aspect of economic and social activities in any society. Land constitutes a sizable proportion of wealth in the economy and land transactions are a continuous process of wealth creation and transfer. its registration eases land transactions and improves the efficiency of the land market as it identifies ownership ownership and records land transfers.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it centres on a diligent and painstaking research in a area that seem to have defied solution by Nigerian governments. Land registration in Nigeria remains at a low level. It is hoped that the article will ginger moves for reforms in land registration systems in various states of the country.
