What is it about?
Titania nanoparticles with enhanced photocatalytic activity were successfully produced by treating titanyl sulfate with various peroxo compounds with further annealing.

Why is it important?
The most promising modificator for preparing thermally stable anatase is urea hydrogen peroxide, and for producing photocatalysts, which are active in the UV region, are hydrogen peroxide and peroxosulfate.
