Why is it important?

Gaming Disorder is a serious condition leading to significant impairment of individuals in many countries. Including this disorder in ICD-11 is a prerequisite for adequate research and provision of treatment and prevention.

Perspectives

This publication helps to provide help and treatment for those who are in need. In addition, it helps to counteract activities of the gaming industry to circumvent Gaming Disorder to be recognized as a disorder included in ICD-11.
