What is it about?

Stress during pregnancy increases glucocorticoid levels and induces heart and kidney deficits in offspring. We used a mouse model of glucocorticoid exposure to investigate how glucocorticoids affect adrenal outcomes in both male and female offspring. Our findings indicate sex specific adrenal outcomes that differ over the lifespan that might contribute to the kidney and heart deficits previously reported.
