What is it about?
Cancer cachexia is a progressive metabolic syndrome that induces adipose tissue atrophy and remodeling. However, such effect may be present in the heterogeneous way, considering different AT depots localization (i.e. mesenteric versus retroperitoneal). We show that impairment of cellular turnover may be determinant for adipose tissue atrophy.
