What is it about?
Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a public health problem which is attributed to the decreased estrogen level. In this study, oral administration of Pueraria mirifica, phytoestrogen rich herb, could alleviate cortical bone loss and improves cortical bone quality in naturally menopausal monkeys. Our study opens another window of the alternative anti-osteoporotic natural-based agent from phytoestrogen-containing plant for the human use in the future.
