Our study aimed to clarify the impact of vitamin D status on metabolic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia in obese people.

Why is it important?
Both vitamin D deficiency and obesity are common health problem. Our findings showed that vitamin D levels are significantly and inversely correlated both with the severity of obesity and with its major metabolic complications. Thus, glycemic profile was strongly related to vitamin D levels.
