What is it about?
This manuscript presents a methodology for neutralizing the bauxite residues, by employing sequential slurry carbonation technique, with gaseous phase carbon dioxide, and synthetic flue gas. The study optimizes the interaction time required to neutralize the bauxite residues and monitors the stability of the treatment. Moreover, this study also establishes the changes undergone by the bauxite residues due to such treatment. The outcome of the study adds to the knowledge in the domain of “sustainable industrial practice”.
