What is it about?
Electromagnetic crimping is the advanced solid-state joining technique for similar and nonsimilar materials. It is a high-speed process that can complete the joining within a microsecond effectively.

Why is it important?
We studied the effect of different groove parameters on joint strength achieved which is considered as the quality of the process. Based on the effect of groove width and depth on joint strength, we proposed a design guideline using the width-to-depth ratio. The proposed design guideline can be significantly used for better joint quality.
