What is it about?

Our method measures the process capability of every phone call item to meet processing specifications where multiple phone call quality characteristics are involved. The acceptable thresholds of two critical characteristics in voice quality transformation, including packet loss and delay, are regarded as processing specifications.

Why is it important?

Properly managing the quality of service for VoIP calls is important because of the packet-switching approach of IP networks where the quality of VoIP phone calls is typically not as stable as that in the public switched telephone network.
