What is it about?

This study helps to appraise the statistical variability in the measured in-situ hydraulic conductivity corresponding to identical field conditions and two successive seasons for different infiltrometers and permeameters. Such evaluations are mandatory for identifying measurement related uncertainties and minimizing its impact on modeling hydrological processes. Compared to infiltrometers, the hydraulic conductivity determined from permeameters were found to be more reliable and certain. Even though the variability among different methods were within the statistical limits of agreement, there was poor correlation between hydraulic conductivity determined from infiltrometers and permeameters.
