What is it about?

Bending beam tests are applied primarily for defining material parameters of fiber reinforced concrete. However, the dispersion of bending beam test results is high, which makes the evaluation difficult. The evaluation method presented in this paper provides more accurate results, furthermore, with the help of this method a more economical fiber reinforced concrete structure can be designed, which considers safety as well.

Why is it important?

New evaluation method would lead to more economical design, low environmental impact and carbon footprint.

Perspectives

I hope this new evaulation method will be useful for engineers and researchers, and it would be a great success if standard committees accept this proposed method.
