What is it about?
Compression garments showed effect on hip kinematics during vertical jump, leading to smaller range of motion. We wondered if such effect could be observed in the frontal plane during landing. as knee valgus frequently mentioned as a risk factor for knee injury. We tested this in this study and found that compression can decrease knee valgus during landing, despite of reducing knee flexion as well.

Why is it important?
Sports injuries are limitant of performance and training routines. The study of strategies to minimize risk factors is important. We showed that compression can be considered important.
