What is it about?
Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) were successfully synthesized on a treated commercial steel Carbon nanofibers were characterized by XRD, SEM , TEM and Raman spectroscopy. The average diameter of the CNFs was in the range of 200- 400 nm, the surface area was182 m2/g . The growth of the nanofibers was correlated to the substrate surface treatment by acid etching where large nanoparticles initiated the growth of such large nanofibers.
