Why is it important?

The study demonstrates that the antioxidant effect of herbal fruit teas subjected the great variations when metabolized in the gastrointestinal system. That's why results of in vitro experimentation would not reflect the real efficacy.

Perspectives

The study reveals that antioxidant activity assessment only based on in vitro tests would reflect the real benefits for the human body.
