Experimental analysis of the dynamics of gear boxes – Part 2

What is it about?

The presented second part of the article deals with the experimental assessment of the dynamics of gears. The basic goal was to develop a methodology for assessing of dynamic behaviour of different types of gearboxes, respectively the various technological or design versions of gearboxes, under the same operating conditions; or for assessing dynamic behaviour of the same gearboxes under various operating conditions. The paper describes the experimental testbed, the used diagnostic methods and the results of verification tests as well as the methodology for specifying the dynamic properties of gears.
