What is it about?
The medicinal and aromatic plants of Mentha pulegium L. have been largely used in traditional medicine for several centuries to contribute significantly to human health related to digestive ailments, it is also used to reduce nervousness and anxiety. Twenty-one chemical elements were assessed and the accuracy of the INAA method was evaluated by analyzing the Certified Reference Materials.

Why is it important?
Traditional medicinal plants can contribute significantly to human health and nutrition, for the reason that they contain many essential elements and organic nutrients established as essential for human nutrition, but the essential metals can produce toxic effects when the metal intake is in high concentrations, whereas non-essential metals are toxic even in very low concentrations
