What is it about?
Four techniques for the fabrication of W-Fe composites and FGMs are compared: hot pressing, spark plasma sintering, plasma spraying and laser cladding. Representative structures and selected properties are presented and advantages and limitations are discussed from the perspective of application in plasma facing components for nuclear fusion.
