What is it about?
This document spezifies the computer file format "SBGNML" to store and distribute maps that follow the recommendations of the Systems Biology Graphical Notation.

By using this file format it is possible to unambigiously represents maps of biological processes in a computer-readable form. This file format can be exchanged between supporting software, stored in pathway databases, or provided as supplement to scientific publications.
