What is it about?
We introduce the new KnetMiner architectur, which uses the best of the linked data and property graphs world, by using an OWL-based application ontology, data ELT based on RDF, to feed both a SPARQL-compliant triple store (Virtuoso) and a property graph database (Neo4j). These two technologies have complementary features that allow us to best serve an ecosystem of data access and processing applications. This help significantly with the realisation of the FAIR data principles.

Why is it important?
We show how linked data and property graphs can be usefully exploited together. We present a significant use case about gene knowledge networks for plant biology and agriculture.
