What is it about?
This publication explains by which strategies actors can facilitate the dissemination of digital innovation within the highly regulated health care sector. This can also lead to patient empowerment. We underpin our argumentation with the example of gamifying glucose monitoring for diabetes patients.

Our work shows that successful innovation in health care goes far beyond technical innovation and also needs to adress social and societal aspects.
Perspectives
