What is it about?

For the first time on the territory of the Russian Federation, races 713, 733 and 734 of the causative agent of the downy mildew of sunflower were discovered. By the method of multiple cross re-inoculations from individual differential lines, simultaneous presence of P. halstedii races of different virulence (334+ 710 or 730) in one sunflower plant was discovered. The fact of mixture of races of this parasite in one plant was not previously established in Russia.
