What is it about?

How the European firms reacted to economic crisis of 2009? The answers to economic recession could be reactive and conservative (cutting jobs, delaying investments). Still, some firms can "swim against the current" and react proactivelly, perceiving the crisis as a chance for non-routine expansion and inovation. We explore which factors drives the proactivity of European firms during 2009 crisis. We find that public incentives provided to enterprises have very moderate influence on proactiveness of the firms.
