The largest surface area of silica SBA-15 up to 1726 m2/g, pore volume 1.4 cm3/g was synthesized base on an addition to the amount of PVA and adjusting the time of hydrothermal treatment

Why is it important?

This is the first study to provide a novel technique for the preparation of mesoporous silica SBA-15. The addition of PVA can be an increase in the surface area. This finding was caused by the interaction of PVA and surfactant Pluronik during the preparation process.

Perspectives

I hope the research can improve this finding, such as the variable process and characterized silica SBA-15
