Six Sigma is valuable to improve quality of laboratory test results. Total Analytical Error (TAE) model combines bias and imprecision into TAE as an estimate of error rate. Conventional internal quality control, based on Sigma-metrics and TAE model, is a statistically robust technique in assuring quality of test results.
