What is it about?
Immunoassay interference is a relatively uncommon problem which is only occasionally due to drugs. Recently, biotin supplementation has been demonstrated to cause a negative interference in the cardiac troponin T immunoassay. This editorial reviews a recent paper in the light of the current literature.
