What is it about?
Abstract: The “National Day of Action for the preservation of written cultural assets” takes place in order to recall catastrophes like the collapse of the municipal archive of Cologne, the fire in the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek Weimar or the consequences of the Elbe flood. It draws attention to dangers like mildew, paper decay and ink corrosion. The report describes the projects conducted on the occasion of the 12th Day of Action in Göttingen in November 2016.
