What is it about?
This chapter describes second language acquisition in Spain looking at aspects such as co-official languages, the presence of foreign languages in the curriculum, main approaches to teaching the foreign languages, and spread of knowledge of foreign languages. The chapter also looks at newer developments in foreign language teaching which are likely to improve proficiency in foreign languages in Spain.
