What is it about?
Traditional management of new product development is not suitable for innovating complex products and systems (CoPS). A research framework for evaluating a firm's competence to manage CoPS innovation is proposed that integrates 18 key elements of firm resources and capabilities. This research framework was tested in the five largest stored program control (SPC) switch manufacturing companies in China.
