What is it about?

The PhD explores the fourth stage of water reform (contraction) by investigating key aspects of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and how climate change may impact on the outcomes of the Plan. By using state-contingent analysis the PhD pulls apart the differences between the buy-back program (Restore the Balance), the subsidisation of water-use efficiency (Sustainable Rural Water Use Investment Program) and explores the economic benefits of increasing ground water extractions.
