What is it about?

In nature, validating physiological and emotional experiences creates essential support for social connectivity. Similarly, in the blockchain ecosystem, cryptographic validation becomes the substrate for all interactions. In the dialogue between human and artificial intelligence (AI) agents, between the real and the virtual, different threads of physical or mental entanglements allow different modes of participation. This editorial argues that a new ecology for the Post-Anthropocene depends on reconceiving the realities in which humans live as frameworks for behavioural interweaving between human and non-human actors.

Why is it important?

The editorial introduces ideas of participation that include human and non-human actors as a means to initiate a turn towards an ecology of the post-Anthropocene.

Perspectives

Relevant to our own experience as an Editorial Organism, in this issue of Technoetic Arts we explore modes of participation and collaboration through different lenses by including guest-edited sections and stand-alone articles.
