What is it about?

There can be a mystery about what happens in theatrical rehearsal rooms for those who aren't in them but want to be. They mightn't be able to gain access for lots of reasons. This paper offers reasons why access is important and suggests ways to do it.

Why is it important?

It shows that the many barriers of access to the industry can be overcome with thoughtfulness and that there are real tangible benefits for theatre companies, participants and the industry in general.

Perspectives

It is hoped that this is interacted with by the wider theatrical community as some of the recommendations and learning can be taken into consideration in artistic planning meetings, making for a more equitable world for us all.
