What is it about?
In this article, Joanna Jaaniste calls upon wisdom from the philosophers such as Husserl and Goethe to assist her to understand the online changes to her dramatherapy work with students, clients, and supervisees that have occurred in the era of COVID-19. She describes how, to her surprise, students no longer able to work face to face have been able to take on roles online to broaden experiential sessions in groups. Dramatherapy with a client on the phone without video has even been possible, where the client’s poetry writing and art work can be exchanged during the sessions via email. Her supervisees have been able to express their own involvement with clients by using small figures to represent them and through gesture and movement.
