What is it about?
This study draws upon the field of sustainability literacy and the life skills beyond disciplinary specialisation that can help students to prepare for an uncertain and complex future. Workshops aimed at general art students in which drawn animation is combined with mediation in collaborative projects are presented. These aim to introduce students to coping strategies such as systemic thinking, attention regulation, personal resilience, focus and concentration.

Why is it important?
Our findings are that making drawn animation is similar to the experience of meditation and can, thus, be a beneficial process in itself of more importance than the final outcome.
