What is it about?
We have 2 different physical activity programs (a basic physical training (BPT) emphasizing strength and resistance and a BPT combined with functional exercises targeting the sensorimotor pathways that are most affected in Parkinson Disease (proprioception-balance-coordination) together with cognitive and motor training (Dual task training). Skin fibroblasts are biopsed before and after intervention and mitochondrial function is analyzed

Why is it important?
Understanding the regulation of the mitochondrial function by physical activity in Parkinson Disease holds significant promise in defining interventions to delay disease onset and developing new therapeutic approaches
